February 5, 2020, The AIFC Academy of Law in association with Europa-Institut of Saarland University held a joint seminar on "Introduction to International Investment Arbitration".
Seminar was opened by the Chairperson of the Academic Council of the AIFC Academy of Law Professor Dr. Alexander Van de Putte.
Guest speakers Prof. Dr. iur. Mark Bungenberg, LL.M., Director of the Europa-Institute (Germany) and Mr. Adilbek Tussupov, LL.M., Professional Support Lawyer, (Herbert Smith Freehills Germany LLP) covered a background, an overview and objectives of the International Investment Law, then practical issues of the Investor-State Dispute Settlement mechanisms and application of these mechanisms related to Kazakhstan businesses.
