On 21 April, 2022 at 18.00 the AIFC Academy of Law will host free online webinar «Anti-Ransomware Compliance in Crypto Transactions» organized by Blockchain Intelligence Group (US) jointly with the Institute of Chattered Compliance Professionals (Switzerland).

About:   Cryptocurrencies are only gaining in use. Although regulators require more crypto exchanges to comply with AML regulations, the use of cryptocurrencies continues to be a source of funds for illicit transactions.

For this reason, tracing cryptocurrency transactions has emerged as a necessity for tax and law enforcement authorities.

William Callahan has a professional background in dark web crime investigation for the U.S. DEA. He specialized in complex money-laundering investigations involving cryptocurrency. He now works with Blockchain Intelligence Group and develops global relationships with law enforcement, regulators, and government agencies.

William states, "The use of cryptocurrency for illicit transactions is a global problem and requires cross-border cooperation from government agencies. A perpetrator sitting in one country can carry out illicit activities in any part of the world."

Don't miss this opportunity to join us on AML Grey Matters webinar to discuss the basics of cryptocurrency, explain how they are used for legitimate purposes, and how illicit transactions are tracked.
